After one year of karting, Jake graduated to single-seaters in 2012 and made his first full-time professional outing in the 2013 BRDC British Formula 4 Championship – a series he won with four victories and six further podiums.
This early success allowed the Briton to graduate to the ever-competitive environment of Formula Renault, and in 2015, he finished as the vice-champion of the 2.0 Alps Series, five points shy of title winner Jack Aitken.
Jake made the move to Formula 3-level competition in 2016, contesting the GP3 Series, European Formula 3 and FIA Formula 3 championships until 2020, taking seven wins and 23 podiums across all three categories.
After previously representing NIO 333 and Mercedes-EQ in Formula E’s annual rookie test, Jake joined ROKiT Venturi Racing as the team’s Reserve Driver on February 25, 2021, in preparation for the category’s seventh season.
