Born on July 8, 1992, in Cannes, France, Norman Nato commenced his go-karting career at the age of nine and secured his big break in 2004 after becoming the French Karting Champion in the “Minime 7-11” category. Building upon his success, Norman won the French Championship “Cadet” 10-14-year-old category one year later.

Entering professional motorsport in 2006, Norman’s career reached a new level in the 2010 season where he finished as the vice-champion in F4 Eurocup 1.6 after notching two wins and eight podium finishes in the campaign.

Steadily rising through the ranks, Norman recorded a second vice-championship in 2012, finishing as the runner-up in the Formula Renault 2.0 Alps series with four wins and eight podiums, all while simultaneously taking fourth in the Eurocup Formula Renault 2.0 series.

Following a dominant weekend in Monaco in the 2014 Formula Renault 3.5 campaign where he recorded pole position, set the fastest lap, and took victory, Norman joined the GP2 Series [now Formula 2] in 2015, recording three wins and eight podiums in three seasons.

On December 7, 2018, Norman joined the Venturi Formula E Team as the marque’s Reserve Driver, taking part in Formula E’s official rookie test in Marrakesh in Season 5.

For Season 6, Norman maintained his reserve role with ROKiT Venturi Racing while representing Rebellion in the FIA World Endurance Championship, taking three pole positions and two victories in the LMP1 class, while also finishing as the runner-up in the 88th running of the prestigious 24 Hours of Le Mans.

Season 7 will mark Norman’s first Formula E campaign in which the Frenchman will represent ROKiT Venturi Racing in the series’ first season as an FIA World Championship.
